The hit survival horror game Dead by Daylight has received a new update, and the current patch for the PTB (Public Test Realm) is primarily targeted at testing the addition of a new survivor for the game. Nicolas Cage, to be exact! The Hollywood actor was initially announced as coming to The Fog earlier this year as part of the game’s 7th Anniversary festivities, and then appeared with Geoff Keighley during the Summer Game Fest event.
But, despite all of the excitement, one thing remained hidden: his survivor benefits. Developers at Behaviour Interactive had informed fans that Cage’s survivor bonuses would be in line with his demeanour and not tied to any previous character or role he’d performed.

When you are healthy, this function is activated. While running, hit the Active Ability Button 2 to run with your knees high for 0.5 seconds. Earn 25% Haste for 2 seconds, and then an unknown effect (one of the following).
- Exposed for 12 seconds;
- Gain 25% Haste for 2 seconds;
- Scream, but nothing happens;
- Gain a random rare item in hand with random add-ons and drop any held item.
Scene Partner:
When you are within the Killer’s Terror Radius, this effect is activated. Scream whenever you see the Killer, then view the Killer’s aura for 3/4/5 seconds. You may scream again; if you do, you will see the Killer’s aura for an extra 2 seconds. Scene Partner then goes into a 60-second cool-down period.
When you are harmed, this feature activates. To enter the dying condition silently, press the Active Ability Button 2 while crouching and unmoving. When you enter the dying condition using Plot Twist, you leave no blood pools, make no noise, and can fully recover from the dying state. When you recover by yourself using Plot Twist, you are instantaneously completely healed and get 50% Haste for 2/3/4 seconds.
