Pokemon Go September Research Breakthrough: Pokemon GO has released another monthly newsletter, this time outlining some of the major events that trainers can look forward to in September 2023. Along with the usual Pokemon Go September Research Breakthrough information, trainers can prepare for a high-profile encounter with Giovanni, the notorious Team Rocket leader.
When September begins, Giovanni in Pokemon GO will have a Shadow Zapdos for a limited time, and players will need to save the Shadow Zapdos from the boss by tracking him down with a Super Rocket Radar. The radar was obtained from the most recent Team Go Rocket Special Research, “The Higher They Fly…“. This meeting will last until September 17. Giovanni will reportedly have a different Shadow Pokemon trainers will need to save after this date.

Research Breakthrough
- Trainers will encounter Clamperl, the Bivalve Pokémon, in Research Breakthrough encounters during the month of September.
- You will also receive a free Remote Raid Pass and twice the XP when you achieve a Research Breakthrough this month as an added bonus.
- Double XP for Research Breakthroughs will be available for the rest of the season. More information will be provided in our upcoming season announcement.
Clamperl, the bivalve Pokemon, will be featured in Pokemon GO Research Breakthrough encounters for the entire month of September. This will begin on September 1 at 1:00 p.m. and end on September 1 at 1:00 p.m. Trainers will receive a free Remote Raid Pass and twice the normal XP. When they achieve a Research Breakthrough during this time. The double XP for Research Breakthroughs will actually continue into the next season. Other activities planned for September include Pokemon Spotlight Hours. A Community Day featuring Gible on September 6, and a few more upcoming events. One of these events will begin on September 25 at 10:00 a.m., and Niantic is keeping it a secret for Pokemon GO trainers for the time being.
