Star Citizen Alpha 3.19 Wave 2: Wave 2 PTU can now access Star Citizen Alpha 3.19.0. And it’s included a slew of new features, including the New Player Experience, some significant Mining Balance & Economy Updates.
A slew of bug patches, some of which had been plaguing the game for a while. Jumptown 2.1 will also be available on the Live servers starting May 5th. Wave 2 means that, in addition to Evocati, RSI Subs, and Concierge, a slew of players who consistently contribute to the problem council and have a lot of play time in the PTU now have access.
The Next Wave should be available at PTU soon (possibly next week). An endeavour to improve the first 30 minutes of gameplay by helping users comprehend the background of the universe and introducing them to some of Star Citizen’s core features. This update focuses on the Area 18 and Baijini Point experiences.

Mining Balancing v01 – With 3.19 comes updates to both Ship and FPS mining, including broad price changes, refining effectiveness and costs, component stats, multi-crew mining efficiency, mineable difficulties and masses with larger asteroids, resource distribution, and the addition of new mineables. The purpose of 3.19 is to make multi-crew mining more appealing and to equal out all resources such that they are all profitable rather than just a few.
Star Citizen Alpha 3.19 Wave 2 Ship mining:
The mineral distribution map in Stanton has been revise to reflect a more distinct distribution of minerals. This means that instead of entirely random resources, select areas (per planet/moon) now have exclusive resources. Furthermore, we specified “standard” materials that are a given in any mineable you would encounter.
The remaining elements have a probability of appearing in those rocks. The improve resource distribution is reflect in trade availability and refining capabilities as well. Every mining gadget, head, and sub item has been well balance in terms of stats, cost, and efficiency.
Every item tie to the mining gameplay loop has been change to target certain resources that can be mine better or worse base on the configuration of your Mining Head. Multi-crew mining has also been balance, with the Mole receive a stability bonus if multiple lasers fire on the same rock, but the Prospector receiving a stability penalty if multiple prospectors fire on the same rock.
