Dead Island 2 Jack Black: People are asking how much of the original developer Yager’s work is still present in Dead Island 2 after it was ultimately re-unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
This is especially true with the reveal video, which appeared to star Jack Black. Here is our technique to determining whether Jack Black’s voice will appear in Deep Silver’s updated Dambuster title.

The voice in the trailer was not Jack Black’s, he claims. It irritates me, he said. Yes, I’m confident that person is a Jack Black impersonator. The actor who plays me in the Kung Fu Panda TV series has a similar voice. A little while later, voice actor Mick Wingert confirmed Jack Black was actually in the trailer, proving Jack Black was right.
Po was played by Wingert instead of Black in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. Wingert was cast as a figure named Max who would drive a customised van carrying survivors across California. Max may or may not still appear in Dambuster’s version of the game, even though we saw a lot of the characters who would be in it in the gameplay trailer displayed at Gamescom.
Dead Island 2 Release Date:
Dead Island 2 will likely be released on April 21, 2023, which means that fans won’t have to wait long to play it. It was originally scheduled for release on February 3 during Gamescom 2022, however that date was moved up to the present day in November.
The game was planned for a 2015 release when it was first announced about ten years ago. The development changed hands in 2015, so obviously this didn’t materialise. A new official release date wasn’t announced until Gamescom 2022. Its progress has been difficult, and that is an understatement.
Dead Island 2 Developer:
Since it was first disclosed, there have been numerous studio changes, which is to say that the development of Dead Island 2 has been turbulent. Deep Silver, the game’s publisher, had initially hoped that Techland would return to work on the project, but because of their commitment on Dying Light, they were forced to seek out other development proposals.
First, The Line, of renown, was hired to create the game; in 2015, Sumo Digital took their position. Sumo was eventually replaced by Dambuster Studios, which created Homefront: The Revolution, after four years. They are still the developers as of right now, and if everything goes according to plan, we’ll be using their version in April.
