Star Citizen Landing Gear Keybind: The next stage after travelling in the black is to land your ship.

In Star Citizen, a number of sites, including Outposts and Cities, provide services for you and your ship. But, outside of these areas, players can land and roam at their leisure around the surface of planetary bodies using the same ideas in this guide. This guide focuses on these important places.

No Fly Zones are regions of the planet or city that players cannot fly through in Star Citizen, especially in cities. Your autopilot may occasionally try to guide you clear of these regions if you approach too close. The No Fly Zone is indicated as a coloured grid around the edge of the restricted area.

When approaching a No Fly Zone, we advise you to be cautious and be aware of your surroundings. The local Landing Services will assign a landing pad, bay, or hangar depending on the size of the ship you are piloting and availability in major places like Area18 and Lorville where permission is required to land. A ship must typically be within 5–7 kilometres.

Landing in the Desiganted Area:

If Landing Services is busy, they might put you on hold. Once permission has been given, a new flight path will be visible above some stations, including Lorville (Shown Above). You can use this flying lane as a reference point as you approach the station. Make sure to stay in the proper lane; else, autopilot will automatically engage as a safety measure.

To prevent mishaps, we advise players to take a calm and cautious approach while navigating these flight lanes. Your HUD will display an indicator indicating where your pad, bay, or hangar is located. You’ll be able to tell what kind it is as you move closer to your allocated landing place (pads and hangars are typically landed on or in vertically, where as bays are flown into).
