Metroid Prime Remastered NSP: Samus has another opportunity to excel. One of the most cherished GameCube titles, Metroid Prime, is being remade for the Nintendo Switch. Surprise! You can get it right away from the Nintendo eShop.

The announcement was made during Nintendo Direct on Wednesday. Online press event where Nintendo unveiled their major games for the first half of 2023. The release date (July 21) for Pikmin 4 and the addition of numerous Game Boy and Game Boy Advance classics to Nintendo Online were both revealed at the event. A fresh trailer for The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom was also released.

In 2002, Metroid Prime made its debut, more than 20 years ago. With refurbished (but not recreated) graphics and improved controls for the Switch, Nintendo is giving it a 2023 shine up.

For the next two weeks, Metroid Prime Remastered is exclusively available digitally. A physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered won’t be available until February 22 for those of us with old souls who prefer them.

Metroid Prime Remastered:

For the Nintendo Switch, the original Metroid Prime game has been remastered with HD graphics and improved audio! From Samus Aran’s perspective, explore Tallon IV. But take care—more there’s to this strange world than first appears. Respond to attacks from hostile creatures with Beams, Missiles, Bombs, and more.

This version has current dual-stick controls that let you walk about while independently changing your point of view, in addition to the game’s restored aesthetics. Additionally, it’s the first time this timeless game has been made portable! Later today, Metroid Prime Remastered will be available digitally in the Nintendo eShop and the My Nintendo Store on Nintendo.com. The game’s physical version will be out in stores on February 22.

Tears of the Kingdom:

Hyrule’s land and skies are about to become the setting for an epic journey. In this The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, you can choose your own route through Hyrule’s expansive landscapes and the enigmatic islands that float in the great skies above.

Can you use Link’s enhanced skills to your advantage to fend off the evil forces threatening the kingdom? The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition will be made available with the standard edition on launch day for a suggested retail price of $129.99. It comes with a physical copy of the game, an artbook featuring concept art, a Steelbook case, and an Iconart steel poster.

In addition, a new Link amiibo figure from the game will be sold separately, giving players access to materials, weaponry, and a unique fabric for Link’s paraglider. On May 12, the Nintendo Switch version of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom goes on sale.

After the final announcement on Nintendo Direct, Nintendo gave its fans a very wonderful gift by releasing Metroid Prime Remastered.

The first video comparison between Metroid Prime’s current release and previous versions already reveals notable improvements. However, gamers who want to use Nintendo Switch as a gaming console for them, like Yuzu, may be able to get an even greater improvement in graphics.
