Destiny 2 Season 19: Here is the release date for Destiny 2’s Season of the Seraph. Here is all we know, including the release date for Destiny 2 Season 19.
The Witch Queen addition for Destiny 2 opened a new year of content, and while gamers loved the new subclass skills, Season of Plunder is starting to lose players. Thankfully, Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph has left a good first impression by reuniting the Guardians with Rasputin, the potent AI Warmind who can be both a friend and an enemy.
Bungie is under a lot of pressure to get Destiny 2 Season 19 right, especially since it will set up the game’s upcoming, significant expansion, Lightfall.

Here is all the information we currently have about Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph, commonly known as Season 19.
Destiny 2 Season 19 release date:
On December 6, 2022, Destiny 2’s 19th season will premiere. It will launch during the weekly reset (5 PM BST/10 AM PT/1 PM ET) and will include a completely new Season Pass and Seasonal Artefact. Season 19 will end on February 28, 2023, the day Lightfall premieres (alongside Season 20).
To put things in perspective, the Duality dungeon was introduce only a few days after Season of the Haunt start. According to a recent TWAB blog post, Bungie will repeat the trick on December 9 at 5 PM GMT/10 AM PT/1 PM ET with the Season 19 dungeon.
Even if the Dungeon’s specifics are still a mystery, it is safe to presume that it will be challenging and provide a one-of-a-kind Triumph Seal to obtain.
Even if the King’s Fall Raid was add during Season of Plunder, Guardians will still have to deal with a brand-new dungeon in Season 19. According to Bungie’s Season of the Seraph website, it will be associated with a weapon called Revision Zero.
Bungie’s set up:
A summary of Season of the Seraph has already been built out on Bungie’s website (opens in new tab) (which actually spoiled the name of the season shortly before the trailer launched, but I digress).
As we go into Lightfall, it reveals the new matchmade activity for the season. Heist Battlegrounds, which we’ll undoubtedly play a lot of up until February 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, a brand-new Exotic task called Operation: Seraph’s Shield will test players’ ability to “break through levels of security each week and awaken Rasputin before it’s too late.”
On Tuesday, December 20, the third week of the season, Revision Zero, a new Exotic, will go on sale. Multiple Exotic catalysts will thereafter follow. The Manticore SMG, another exotic, will be accessible only to season pass holders as of later today. While free-to-play players must reach season rank 35 to gain access.
New Destiny 2 Dungeon:
This Friday, December 9, a new Destiny 2 dungeon will go live before Revision Zero. Most likely with its own Exotic in store.
As a reminder, this dungeon has its own, individually purchase dungeon pass and is not include with the season pass. (If you purchase The Witch Queen’s deluxe version, you also have coverage for the dungeons).
The dungeon, which was formerly thought to Vex-theme. Wasn’t reveal much in today’s season reveal. But Xivu Arath’s involvement might point to more Hive mischief.
