For players who are still getting to know the Overwatch universe. That journey is beneficial, but for those of us who have been playing the game for a while, it is less so.
Existing players get this experience without being able. Unlock more heroes due to a glitch that has been impacting players since Overwatch 2’s release on October 4.

Only the 13 “starting heroes” provided to new players in the FTUE are usable due to this problem. There are occasionally additional other heroes that can be acquired through buyable expansions. Such as Junker Queen, Kiriko, and Sojourn, bringing the total to 16.
Even if the game may still be completely played, it is quite upsetting for veteran players to discover that their favourite characters have been locked for no apparent reason.
There is currently no definitive patch for this bug, which is still widespread. When many players first checked in on October 10 and saw that half of the Overwatch 2 roster was locked behind the FTUE experience, reports increased.

Take a look at the Hero Gallery before you sign up for competitive mode or simply a hot match of quick play with your pals.
Heroes besides the thirteen “starting heroes” will have a lock on the right side of their portrait if you are currently affected by the FTUE bug. Sombra, Ana, and other crucial heroes for competitive mode should be your first port of call.
You won’t be able to choose these heroes if these locks display because of the FTUE problem. Currently, there are no clear solutions accessible. Anecdotal evidence suggests that restarting Overwatch 2 after logging out of the game will occasionally resolve the problem.

Fortunately, the Overwatch 2 creators have already acknowledged the problem. There isn’t yet a timetable for a remedy, though.
