You can download the game starting at midnight on September 9, 2022, according to a check at the game’s website on the PlayStation Store. The official NBA 2K23 release date is Friday, September 9, 2022.
The universal release time will be 12 am EST, which translates to the following in other time zones: Thanks to updated listings, we have also been able to confirm this.
- 9 pm PST (September 13th)
- 11 pm CST (September 13th)
- 5 am BST (September 14th)
- 2 pm AEST (September 14th)
Will There Be Early Access in NBA 2K23?
This year there won’t be any NBA 2K23 early access options (including pre-order rewards).
Additionally, due to the worldwide NBA 2K23 release date, switching your console’s region shouldn’t grant you access to the game earlier this year, making the perennially popular New Zealand trick ineffective.

Players can put in their NBA 2K23 Pre Order today now that everything has officially gone live.

Players got their first taste of this year’s game with the NBA 2K23 gameplay trailer, and since then, 2K has released a number of fresh clips and courtside reports delving into the game’s new features.

NBA 2K23 Cover Athletes:
Although a full gameplay trailer hasn’t been released yet, each of the cover athletes has received one, and one of them provided us a little glimpse of in-game action.
The famous cover player for this year’s NBA 2K23 game, who will grace the Michael Jordan Edition and Championship Edition, was revealed along with the first official NBA 2K23 news.
Fellow cover athletes Devin Booker, Sue Bird, and Diana Taurasi were also feature in trailers for their respective editions, but none had any gameplay footage.
NBA 2K23 Jordan Challenge:
Players will love participating in the Jordan Challenge since it will allow them to experience some of the most iconic NBA events.
You’ll take on the role of Michael Jordan and experience a variety of eras, each with a unique gameplay style.
